I am a multidisciplinary artist working in image-based digital media. My work investigates the shape of human intimacy formed by internet lifestyle, constructed detachment from reality, and the power dynamics of the virtual. My work often utilizes the visual language of fantasy role-playing video games, using it as a tool to illustrate our complicated relationship with mediation. I am interested in the strategies we use to exist within virtual systems. I appropriate consumer programs, applications, and games as ad hoc containers for a new creation. I use fan tactics like modding and worldbuilding to augment or subvert the original content, often crafting a new narrative of longing and desire, or existential dread and stasis.
