Title: "Pump Up", Description: "‘PumpUp’ is an absurdist short film that speculates on a future financed by PumpWorkers. Set in 2140 London, all traditional forms of currency have been phased out, crypto dominates the financial sector. The only way to “mine” such coins is by playing alluring play-to-earn arcade games, from the comfort of the workers’ homes.

The film follows the working days of two young professionals, exploring notions of be-your-own-boss culture and David Graeber’s ‘bullshit jobs’ phenomenon. It aims to display a future where the mechanisation of the human body is commonplace, and the potential consequences this may have on traditional notions of labour and human value."
